Growing up I lived out in the boonies. No one around us at all. 60 years later city limits sits on moms fence line. She says she will have to die before the city can annex her property into the city.
Around these parts there are close to a thousand acres of feed corn fields. That is a placeholder crop that makes no profit but allows the land owner to reap the benefits of low taxed âfarmlandâ to patiently await a million dollar an acre developers buyout. All the greenies scream âYou are selling off farmlandâ but they are not smart enough to see the forest for the cornfield.
Years ago I had a car ride with my uncle and this was his comment around every corner. Though it was frustrating at the time I now find myself doing much the same.
