In my high school days I had challenging stuff, interesting stuff, fascinating stuff, difficult stuff, really difficult stuff, fun stuff, and running around getting sweaty stuff. Same thing in college. My first job was teaching math and science to 7th and 8th graders, so that would qualify as terrifying stuff and didn’t work out. Since I couldn’t get a job using my shiny new math degree (female, 1970s Oregon), my second job as Library Assistant in a university library was mostly boring stuff, but it was a library!, with millions of books, so at least it was also interesting stuff. But my last job (for 40 years) was as a computer programmer and that was challenging, interesting, fascinating, difficult, and very, very fun! So it all worked out in the end.
