Moondog: So you hid the candy like I said, someplace I'll never find... that's a relief! Now I don't be tempted to... hey... I smell something fruity... you didn't get into the candy, did you? Bird; No, of course. Moondog: Good. Because that's the whole point... I want to save the candy for Halloween, and not... AHA! Bird: OK! OK! I admit it! I did pull out one "Dubble Bubble."

One piece of bubble gum in itself could be excused, Pilsner, but the point is to help Moonie fight his addiction, and you’re not doing that by blowing sweet, fruity bubbles in his face!

I remember in the 60’s and early 70’s you could buy gum of all flavors and forms. I recall pineapple flavored gum, cherry Lifesavers gum, Bubs Daddys (a 12 inch stick of bubble gum for a nickel). I wish they still made Chrstomint Lifesavers and Zotts candies. Moondog and Monty plus Pilsner would all like them.
