I'm off to scan the heavens for NEO's... Massive asteroids with unstable orbits that, if caught in Earth's gravity, could strike our planet with the force of 1x10 megatons. Good luck. Oh, @#$#$! Oh, @#$@%! Oh... This is your raisin, I presume.

If one does hit, let’s hope Washington D.C. is ground zero.

Near-Earth Orbit object or raisin? That is the question. Can a cybot wet its pants (if it had pants)?

1×10^8 megatons would be 2 million Tsar Bombas. That number just doesn’t seem right.

It is estimated that the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs was 1 × 10 to the 13th (100 trillion) tons of TNT, which resulted in extinction of about 80% of the species on Earth at that time. So EB is talking about one that would be 10 times worse. Not likely anything more than bacteria would survive.

It’s 10^8 Megatons vs. 10^13 Tons. Mega = 10^6. 10^8 Megatons = 10^(6+8=14) Tons.
