There’s another Yogic practice where the end of a string is inhaled through a nostril, down to the throat, and pulled out through the mouth.

Repeat for other nostril.

Cheers for the neti pot, but don’t use tap water if it has chlorine or flouride in it. Ouch.

Neti pots can be extremely dangerous if you don’t follow the instructions. Mainly the step where you have to use sterilized water, because if you use ordinary tap water it can contain protozoans that might include a species that can give you a lethal and nearly impossible to treat brain infection.

Hmmm, but the sinuses are separate, and the nostrils separated by the septum. Granted, a deviated septum at time is partly dealt with by a hole being created in the septum, but that would have the fluid draining prematurely rather than cleaning and would apply to only the people who have had that surgery.

Can’t i just blow my nose into a tissue, like back in the Good Old Days?
