Lying on your back is only a temporary measure, not the cure. Gotta exercise to prevent recurrences. (Been there, done that.) :P

I find it interesting that giraffes have the same number of neck vertebrae as humans….

Sometimes they fight and kill each other hitting with their necks. Google the giraffe with the zig-zag neck.

It’s true. Have you ever seen a giraffe in a chiropractor’s office?

I hate that people walk away when I’m ranting.

Time for a visit to the Chiropractor.

Just wait until Arthritis sets in!

And don’t get me started on baboons! They got these enormous, red backsides but do they get hemmoroids? No! Meanwhile, I’m buying Prep. H by the case full!

I’m reminded of Barney Fife’s diatribe against giraffes…

Giraffes would complain if they could. All they can do is hum at night.

The only thing worse than a giraffe with a sore neck is a centipede with corns.

As someone who just got back from a hospital visit yesterday due to a bad back – I concur!

I bet giraffe’s get neck pains all the time. They just don’t complain about it.

how long to giraffes live on average? As far as I’m aware there aren’t many mammals that live longer than 40 years (or even much longer past their reproductive age,) it’s possible that they just don’t live long enough to have to deal with conditions we humans with our near century of life have to worry about.

I think the pain meds have kicked in. :)

How would we know if giraffes had neck pain? Maybe they do…

Such a wimp, lying down, Moonie! Stand up and fight backache like a Real Man!

The reason humans have bad backs is because we are not yet fully evolved to stand upright. We’re most of the way there, but not yet.

We also have lots of lung problems for the same reason. Not to be gruesome, but too many things end up draining into our lungs that horizontally-oriented animals don’t have to deal with.
