So, no-one wants to comment on Monty’s “cure” that forces him to breath CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) as his exhalation accumulates in the enclosed balloon?!? Or have we suspended disbelief in order to enjoy “mildly humorous”?
As long as we don’t have to suffer through another Sedgwick arc…
I believe there’s an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records about the world’s longest-running case of hiccups. I’m too lazy to look it up, but IIRC the thing that was finally credited with stopping them was a prayer to a patron saint of lost causes.

I hope the player is not AC. At least that will cure Monty’s hiccups.

My husband just says “boo” and mine stop. Not even a loud or startling boo. Just in a normal voice.

I once hiccuped for three days before a final exam in Quantum Physics. I told the doctor. “I have psychosomatic hiccups; what have you got for me?”
He gave me Valium. I took one at home and the pictures on the wall went 3-D. I knew I could not study like that, so I just kept hiccuping.
Sure enough, sometime in the middle of the final exam, the hiccups stopped.
So, try taking a Quantum Physics exam the next time you have hiccups. :)

Anything that interrupts the spasms will end the hiccups. But all the popular cures were invented to amuse others.
