I enjoy a good comics trope as much as the next guy. Whoever he is. But I’ve never understood why one would think that the meaning of life is to be found by asking someone who has checked out of life for years. I think hermits basically couldn’t figure it out so they quit the game. Maybe they are happier that way. To each his own.
