Okay. Where are you guys?? Everybody leave while I was gone?? Oh,well, I’ll checl back later. I suppose everyone is recuperating from the holiday?Speaking of that, I brought home a bottle of Evan Williams, fine sour mash Kentucky Bourbon. A lot like J.D,, but smoother. Pretty good stuff.
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Our BBQ got rained out, but we just moved it indoors. Had a nice relaxing day watching some very old movies. (An old Perry Mason flick from the mid 30’s, a subtitled French version of Gigi from the 40’s and 1946’s “Kind Hearts and Coronets” where Alec Guinness played 8 different roles, including a woman.)
Hello to all the VagaBonds….Sounds like everyone survived the Fourth! It was warm here, It got up to 87. Had our BBQ, watched the valley fireworks from the front porch, and then a campfire to close the evening/morning! It doesn’t get really dark until after 11:30 or so, so it’s hard to see the satellites and meteorites until then.
@dkran….. That storm is the beginning of the monsoon. The seven day forcast calls for 20-50 percent chance of rain every day, the percentage depending on the day.And yes, last night’s storm was a wicked one. Hit here where I live about 6:00 +/-. Strong winds. I’ve have a pair of milk crates out there on my balcony, and one of them got blown off the other and half-way across the balcony, My mop bucket is gone, period., I’ve had it blown around a few times, but now it’s gone…..over a metal railing almost four feet high!!!YES, the monsoon season has started with a vengence. Ends in Sept. Won’t rain every day til thenm but hopefully it wii rain often,,,,, We really need it.
Glad you all survived the long weekend. Hope nobody had a hangover. Menagerie count at my Lady of the Hills: 8 cats of variousa ages, 3 dogs of various sizes, a loud raucous macaw. two white rats and I don’t know how many doves. And every single one of them spoiled rotten, Had a greatr time. No TV. Lots of talk. Played Trivial Pursuit.Enough of my chatter. Time to0 go toon tripping, and then get to work on “The annals of King’s Hill”. Hope I can make it sound interesting. It will have it’s dark moments.
GOOD AFTERNOON ALL, ALSO,Got the boat slip back in on the creek, with help!! from one of my snowbird friends, his too. Lake Ontario has been calm for weeks , so were both anxious to get out on the water..

Hello, all you happy people.
Slim, just saw pictures of Tucson being wet down by a big storm, is that the monsoon you talk about?
David, for you:Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket out.
Welcome back, to the same old place that you laughed about.
“Wecome Back Kotter”, I mean David.
Well hopefully the crew will get here soon.
