Boody, my friend, I hate to say it, but You’re a twit! There is such a thing as being too helpful and accommodating!

Some days the blacksmith did better welding than others. This must have been a Tuesday Weld.

Boody obviously has more feelings than sense. Still, I suppose he’s the cuddly sort of dragon at heart ….

Hope the G-man has a soft spot!

That which Boody does can be undone by the same means. It is nice to soothe the ego of buffoons like St G. but when the time comes, I expect Boody will be his undoing.

@pschearer: Excellent little word play there - Tuesday Weld, one of my long-ago loves. Hard to believe that in two more weeks she’ll be 66.

I assume you know it’s by the late great Shel Silverstein, who also wrote “Sylvia’s Mother”, “Cover of the Rollin’ Stone”, “A Boy Named Sue” and other great songs (and poems and books) for children, and a lot of songs most definitely not for kids.

Oh, Irish Rovers! For a moment I thought it might be Bing Crosby or Dean Martin, some sort of laidback crooner.

Like Roger Rabbit truly said: “I could have gotten out of the chains at any time, BUT IT WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN FUNNY!” (Or, words to that effect.)
