    The writer David Gerrold, the writer of ST:TOS “The Trouble With Tribbles,” got a call from Robert A. Heinlein. David was worried as Heinlein had written “The Rolling Stones,” which also had fast breeding animals. Heinlein wasn’t upset. He said they both owe something to Ellis Parker Butler who wrote “Pigs Is Pigs” back in 1905.
