On a different note, it reminds me of a wonderful chapter from Bambi (the original 1928 book, pre-Disney), where two leaves, on the verge of falling off their tree in the late fall, discuss the nature of their lives, and whether or not they look any the worse for wear, and ultimately wonder if there’s an afterlife.
Old Ma Nature sez, “when it’s your time, it’s your time.” So you really shouldn’t interfere, Anansi. You’ll just end up bringing Marsha down….
