There were so many Westerns on television at that time. Kids were always playing cowboys and Indians, bank robbers and lawmen. Lots of toy guns for sale, very realistic. I remember the sharp smell that came from cap pistols. I wonder if we kids carried into adulthood false impressions of the true nature of gunplay? Do kids these days, with better understanding of guns (their usefulness vs. misuse according to situation) have a more realistic view?
