Remember when we were all going to be hoarders until we found out you can still go to the store as long as you wear a mask?

Korea ,another war with US forces on the ground, uncertainty of long term home front shortages, WW2 rationing fresh in our minds; yep, this reflects the mood of 1950 very well…all we need is a reference to Tailgunner joe [not Biden] and I am in my single digit life memory again.

Wow, she must’ve seen our current pandemic coming seventy years ago! Way to prepare, Nancy!

I know why this would be topical now even if it hadn’t just come up randomly; why would Bushmiller have been driven to write it at the end of September, 1950, though?

Just wait, Irma. Nancy will have her revenge when you least expect it. Like 1962.

I wonder what was going on in 1950 that caused a “hoarding” reference? Early cold war era?

Making fun of hoarders? That’s kinda mean-spirited by today’s standards.

I’m surprised they were still calling people hoarders in 1950. I thought the WWII rationing was over by then.

I’ve been noting that Harbor Freight has been having empty shelves. Supply chain issues, I wot.

Nancy is smart to stock up on supplies. Never know when you might need them.
