Good point indeed! U know those dads’ll be giving her the eye, wink wink, nudge nudge! Hey! What about Phil as substitute dad? However I remember well the bummer of father & son day at summer day camp when my dad the traveling salesman couldn’t be there. ☺

We struggle with this in Scouts. Mom & Me, Dad & Lad, Parent & Pal. When the Mom’s are camping the last person they want is a guy to show them how to “correctly” do something. Some of the Mom’s are pretty sharp! One year my wife set the tent up with the ground cloth inside the tent. A dad and a staff member scolded her for “doing it wrong.” She smiled. The night it rained, the Dad’s bottom of the tent got wet and so did he. The water ran between the ground cloth and tent bottom. She got up nice an dry as did the boys she brought to camp.
