Dennis and Tommy once made a snowman in the Mitchell driveway, decided to preserve him by spraying it with water, and keep him from being stolen by putting him on a sled, hiding it in the Wilson’s garage (using a sled to move it), and tying the sled to the back bumper of their car. Mr. Wilson, meanwhile, had been reading about the Abominable Snowman, went out to the garage for something … The press took his picture with it and a jocular view of his assertion that scientists looking for it in Tibet were on the wrong track. When they tried to leave town to let the thing blow over, he couldn’t untie Dennis’s knots, so ended up taking the snowman with him.
