me when im walking into my 7:30 AM anatomy class which is for some reason held in the coldest classroom ive ever encountered on any campus ever and also i got like 3 hours of sleep last night which is like honestly average for me but still leaves me sleepy in the mornings and so wearing a hoodie and trying to use its soft warmth as a substitute for sleep would be a viable action to take but then actually because i got like 3 hours of sleep last night and theres that water main break on the highway so traffics gonna be slow and i cant be late to class again and i slept through my alarm i have to run out of the door as fast as physically possible so all im thinking about is moving my corporeal body from my room to the car and not like what fashion choices i should be making and whether or not i should wear a hoodie so i dont actually wear the hoodie i just sit in class n wish that i did. i take back my ‘me’ i actually cant relate at all nancy is far more sensible than i am
Nancy and…girl…are clearly, physically younger than 17 and I do not see an adult with them so I doubt the scary movie they’re seeing is R-rated. That means, it is likely jump scare junk that passes for scary these days. And I say this as someone who hates scary movies…except for the “Scary Movie” franchise.
In ’56 or ’57 about six of us went to see “Rodan,” said by playground critics to be the scariest film ever. I had the bad luck to sit by the wall. All I recall about the film is being afraid of the wall.
Now, now everyone…. why the critical, unwarranted, and unkind presumption that Nancy is actually afraid of the movie?!?!?!?!! I am going to take her at face value and presume she is indeed very chilled in the theater. :)
Really, though, this one had me laugh out loud! It was wonderfully done. Several things I especially like:
1. I like how even the pressure of the hoodie was unable to compress Nancy’s very powerful hair. :)
2. I like that the theater is pretty empty…. is it a bad movie on its way out?
3. I like how Esther still has that cut that shows up in her bangs. Even though it also saddens me that she has a poor haircut (which is what the cut signifies to me).
4. I really like how Olivia chose to show the progression of time…. Nancy has been talking about the chilly nature of the theater most of the day…. to aid in her ability to try to convince Esther of the validity. :)
Even though not necessary in any way…. I think it would have been fun if Olivia had added a bead of sweat on Esther’s forehead or some other indication that the theater was actually quite abundantly warm.

Nancy has a pragmatic approach to scary movies. Don’t they have age limits in her town, though?
