I do wonder how long the tradition of either Sunday recaps or a different storyline will continue for Sunday strips, given the declining newspaper markets?
So the Sunday Strip Debate Arc has finally come to an end. I have to say, the payoff was only slightly worth it. It definitely dragged when Mildred was running around trying to absorb the 2 cyborgs to achieve her perfect form, and the stupid kids’ martial arts tournament was a nightmare to get through. But Nancy finally won, as promised. For a series’ finale, it was ok.
Nancy has ingeniously created a context clue in the last panel, in order to appear to have won at long last. Yet, we will never truly know what transpired within the story gap between that last panel, and the previous panel.
“Nancy” immediately follows “Monty” on my page, and reading today’s “Monty” I was thinking how unusual it was that the telekinesis theme carried over from the daily strips to the Sunday strip…
In early comic strips, the Sunday strips carried a different story because the strips had to be submitted earlier to the syndicate to be colored. It took a long time for some strips to coordinate daily and Sunday storylines.

What order are the panels supposed to be in? I know the second is fifth, and the last is correctly last.

Most of the “soap opera” strips move so slow, you only have to read every third of fourth day.

I need more caffeine, today’s strip is too meta for me to handle right now.
