I’ve learned some important lessons from the various surveys I’ve taken. Mostly that I hate surveys.

Shouldn’t the room already be empty?

Ooh those words from “corporate speak” put me asleep

Usually they start with the survey. It doesn’t make much sense but it’s the only way they get turned in. Unless you want to have an administrative assistant wasting time going around hounding people.

I’ve never been to one of these things that could not have been just as easily delivered by e-mail. I resent the time-wasting. I read 1200 wpm; I sit and stare at the clock the same speed as everyone else.

Questionnaires and goal planning can be part of mentoring but I have never seen a company follow through on the development part.

How to empty out a room in 10 seconds! Instead of annoyingly flicking the lights on and off, maybe bouncers should ask drunks to fill out a survey to clear out the bar after last call?

Shouldn’t this where they hand out awards for staying to the end?

Unless there’s a free lunch coupon attached to the survey, nope.
