Great proggress, but she forgot one thing. Who’s doing the funding?

I’m a home grown wanna-be scientist, (after I retired), and at the age of 72, I can justify anything I do in the name of research. For example, when I drink my coffee in the morning I’m doing caffeine research. Ahhhh………

I’m with you kreole on the caffeine research! :) On weekends I dabble in alcohol research and lots of sleep research as well! :D

I use much of my time to study the backs of my eyelids.

I have been doing this same research for years now. I think I should have a grant as well. My observations are inconclusive and require more study.

I will keep disturbing Danae while she works on her thinking to research on that sun-set. Danae, you should sit by the tree and face the East to see the sun going down. Obviously, the way the sun does!

Actually, you don’t have to disregard any incompatible data if you simply change your assumptions. Assume the sun sets in the east, and wherever it sets, call that the east, because it is east of some point, and voila.

If she sits there long enough, she’ll accidently discover the direction from which the sun rises….which will have no bearing on anything scientific whatsoever without the proper research grant.

She’ll sit there all night looking for the sun–and eventually it will dawn on her.

Now you’ve given her ANOTHER project, grazer. You’ll work the kid to a coma.

Yes treered,that’s common sense. However many think it’s round and SOME think it’s a BIG BLUE MARBLE! Can you believe it?

Many have posited changing the orientation of East vs West. Why not just change the definition of what it means for the sun to “set” ?
