Oh come on, everyone knows both senators from Maine are liberal (albeit nominally GOP) women: Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe. Surely Wiley could work some truth into his satire!

It’s interesting that Danae knows it’s special interest groups with powerful lobbyists that get government attention. So she already knows that government does not function “for the people”. Now for the next step in her education…

A longtime politician friend once told me that I should donate $5 to every candidate for every office so I could have my voice heard. It gets you on the list. The preferred list takes much more though.
