This reminded me of one of my favorite cartoons – which I could not find on the Web. So here’s an attempt to do justice to a picture in words: FRAME 1: Man stands on corner. Sign flashes “Don’t Walk!” FRAME 2: Man steps out into street. Sign still flashes “Don’t Walk!” FRAME 3: Kaboom! Bolt of lightning fills the whole frame. FRAME 4: Man is smoking pile of ashes in middle of street. Sign flashes, “I told you not to walk.”

@ribbie149, pdenman - Perhaps comicgos works the night shift, and he(?) is goofing off during his lunch break. Or perhaps GoComics updates in the late afternoon where he lives. (I know for a fact that some posters on GoComics live in Europe, while others live in Asia.)

Not one for the ages… Or the Hall of comic pages… Just a little trifle… For the critics to stifle… Their laudets and applause… Of the Wiley and his cause… So to show that lack of art… Can somehow still impart… A wink and a nod of support… Even when the effort is naught…

    Nice change.

There comes a time in every man’s life when he comes to a crossroads. It’s the most important time. But running out of gas is not unexpected, there’s a gauge.

@Grainbelt: Seeing as rain falls from our sky and hot air rises to it I’d say that Heaven would be “up” for us too… or does Heaven only exist directly above where you live? :-)

…Mind you, for those living in Adelaide it isn’t really an issue as they’re already in Hell. (Just a little bit of local humour).

There is a whole philosophical/logical debate about that, especially “The Surprise Paradox”–can a gift or test or execution really be unexpected if you know it is coming?

This has a very Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy feel to it.
