I thought the clouds looked like 2 people sitting next to a pond looking up at the sky having a conversation that involved political metaphor. But that’s just silly.

My herd of galloping wild horses broke up that elk fight and they joined in the run across the sky.

This reminds me of an old Peanuts strip where Lucy, Linus, and Charlie Brown are describing what they see in the clouds. Linus gives some long winded explanation about how the clouds look like great works of art. When asked what he says, Charlie Brown responds “I was going to say a horsey and a duckie, but I changed my mind”.

Hey, she calls ’em as she sees ’em.@Dogsniff ~ Great Elke reference! I remember when she had a TV painting show akin to The Joy of Painting. And A Shot In the Dark was one of my favorites. So many funny lines! Who can forget that Beump on zee head?

That actually happened around here. Two fisherman in the St. Joe river, saw a couple like that, but they were in the water. By the time they got there they had both drowned. (The deer, sillies!). They called the DNR, got it cleared, and went home with a bigger catch than they had bargained for…

Wiley, thank you, simply superb but typical of your skill, a real art form. Go ahead, you made my day.

I wonder if Wiley copied today’s Liberty Meadows strip or the other way around.

Nice, gutsy move, Wiley, to break through the fourth wall and snark at your own over-reacting readers. :) Meta-humor…gotta love it!

Clouds are like ink blots, the viewer sees what he wants to see and that can be refreshing, funny, sad or downright morbid. The one thing for sure is that it is thought provoking to anyone with an imagination. Good one, Wiley.

This one is gonna make a LOT more sense to people who read “Non Sequitur” (and other comics) online than to those who read it in the newspaper. I normally read this strip in my daily paper, but sometimes I’ll see one (like today’s) that spurs me to check it out here as well, just to see the commentary…

The primary target of this cartoon was Congress. The secondary target was the usual suspects who post here.

Two elks fighting is too noble an image for Congress.. How ’bout two slugs grappling in a mucusy interlude on a cool summer slate… Or two Horseshoe crabs greedily spiking one another till the surf drowns them both… No wait, two jellyfish floating in the miasma stinging each other to death… Damn! Still too noble!

Well, she didn’t actually say anything political. He was the one who read that into what she said. So, who’s guilty here?

I love the clever toons and this one is in my daily rotation (tho’ I seldom comment-don’t like posting political opinions where they are not welcome) but I often post on newspaper articles, too. I see the faces of the couple reclining in one cloud- extra good one, Wiley!

Possibly, maybe Christine or Angel Harte. Either way they kill each other and the prize walks away with the new guy in the wings.
