Oh get off it already! The 99% doesn’t represent 70% of those they’re protesting for and most of the 1% really did work for their money! Enough already!
Anyway, I’m still trying to figure out what the cursive writing of the mic cord says…I think I’m gettin’ it……………man……….did you ever really look at your hand? You just will it to move and it does……automatically…..cool……………………………………………………..
Kendraff…there’s NO way you can know how much or how many of the 1% etc actually EARNED their money. Except Forebes’ list of billionaires indicates that NOT VERY Manyearned it themselves…
Without the 99%, anyway, could there be a 1%?So which comes first, the chicken or the egg? and to put it another way, which came first, the 1% or the 99%?
…saw this happen before, but it was at an Ozzy Osbourne concert in 2001.
Sitting in the front row (EXPENSIVE BLOODY SEATS), I could see the teleprompter scrolling across Ozzy’s eyes – he was so brain-fried that he didn’t remember most of his songs without assistance…
What a dilemma, reading and memory. With TV and Face Book there is almost no need to truly read—with comprehension and retain something of a memory. Or just simply using your brain.
While we’re on old age (the gentleman with the mic looks as though he’s been around the block a few times), this actually happened on Monday the 23rd (I put this on another site yesterday, but forget which one :-) ):
My daugther, “Brünhilde,” answered the phone:Brünhilde: Hello.Old man: Hello. May I ask who is calling?Brünhilde: YOU’RE the one who’s calling ME!Old man: Oh.
Great comments again but I lost track of what the strip said while reading them because most of them were off topic!
Thanks for another great strip Wiley and congratulations on 20 years! Don’t think I’ve missed more than a few in those 20 and thank you very much for the great art & wonderful flights of fancy you have taken us on. ;-)
Actually, “news” folks don’t use prompters any more for their “memory”, they use earbuds, and STILL can’t pronounce words, or have any understanding of what they’re told to speak. It isn’t much different for “expert” commentators, like the memory expert, either.
Then stick with the 50% who will vote for their own best economic interests. And, BTW, I thought it was closer to 87% of stats were made up on the spot. ;-)

What? No teleprompter comments? Gee, folks have forgotten about notes, cue cards, and prompts? (That IS where the name “teleprompter” comes from.)
