Oh no you dint…Damn, I love your cats, Wiley. The one on the top of the couch is just way too cool…You obviously have a cat or two….Do you have bears? Cuz I really like your bears, too….

Yeah, they don’t want anyone getting treats until THEY want something. then they try to bully the other cats away from the plate. Fat cats are like that. Especially our Jersey Christie.

My cat comes running every time I open a can, but when I give her the food, she leaves half of it in the dish. She actually prefers the dry kitty kibble.

at what point does a person become a cat lady? and, how many cats qualifies to become a cat lady?

@TheTrustedMechanicDo you think that if laborers were paid more they would stop asking politicians for entitlements? Boy you’re naive. Politicians will keep offering the entitlements whether people REALLY need them or not, because it will get them elected Everyone wants MORE. That’s the point de Tocqueville was trying to make: There is never enough, once you realize you can take it.

And the Tea Party isn’t controlling anything right now. If they were, Romney wouldn’t have been the candidate.

But don’t look with blinders on: EVERYONE is selfish and self-centered, not just the Right. The claim could be made that those clamoring for more entitlements are being selfish and self-centered because they have no problem receiving more benefits paid for by others. Don’t be too swift to dole out judgement on any group of people; I have a feeling you’ve never managed a business before and don’t quite understand the economics of it, but I could be wrong.

But if an employer can’t make ends meet because s/he is forced to pay his/her laborers more money, is that alright? If the reduction in revenues necessitates foregoing a business expansion that would have allowed them to hire more laborers, is that still alright? And if the economy turns south, and the “wealthy” don’t have enough capital to weather it, resulting in job cuts and business closures, does it matter how low the income taxes are?

I’m just saying, look at the issue from all sides. And please, don’t use the term “reDUMBlicans” again. It’s something a 1st graders would use on the playground. Rise above.

In other words, we used to have the finest politicians money could buy – now we have the finest voters money can buy.

But Alexis is dead….for all his glib he went back to Europe; should have taken his pen and parchment with him so little fascists would have nothing but themselves to comment…..

I wonder how we got from the cats to the politics. I don’t want Wiley to come and tell us to stop this for the 68th time. How is this strip with politics?!

She must be a very accomplished cat lady. None of the cats are on the counter “helping” her open the can, in fact, none of them are even in the kitchen.

I signed the petition to secede because every time I bought a can of tuna she took it away and gave it to you.

Alexis de Tocqueville was an aristocrat, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, who never lived under a democracy of any kind. (No, the French Revolution did not introduce democracy. It introduced demagoguery and mob rule of the worst kind, and led directly to dictatorship.)

If I could also point out another awkward fact with the de Tocqueville quote, it’s been over 200 years and we’re still here. Just sayin, ya know?

What’s the difference between ‘Cat Person’ and “Cat Lady?” $$$$$$$$$$$$$Channel 35 features a short special on a woman who rehabiliates and finds homes for the cats found on what the Channel 5 Investigative Team uncovered: a mess of a house with 147 cats whose neighbors complained about the smell !

Our ol’ barn cats used to see me with a fishing pole headed down to the crick and 3 or 4 of them would follow me, knowing what was gonna happen next.. I’d catch some minnows or suckers and toss them back in the grass for the cats to chase around and eventually eat. No over-salted tuna fish to kill their kidneys for THEM !Good times.

The reason you have ‘cheap at any cost’ is that people can no longer afford the luxury of quality. The smaller the discretionary portion of people’s income becomes, the less they have to spend in the economy. That’s basic arithmetic.

In the US, ‘capitalism’ has come to mean ‘government subsidized monopolies’ . Not a good way to a healthy economy.

Johnny Diego: Don’t worry, as soon as they secede, they will petition the US for foreign aid so their new military can put down “terrorists” who want compensation for their confiscated property when they left to go back to the US.

Calling Social Security an “entitlement” is using a misnomer and also a deliberate attempt to downgrade the program in the eyes of the public to make it easier to dismantle and loot it.In the infamous 47% speech, Rmoney called food and housing “entitlements”.

Yes sir, you can hear that DC can opener everywhere.

As I said before, cats are not pets…they are co-owners.

Sturmmi14: I happen to know something about consumerism in the 1950s-60s. I was president of the Texas Consumer’s Association and a candidate for VP of the Consumer Federation of America. We most certainly not wanting Walmart or any other kind of big box store. We invented NIMBY! We were working for such radical notions as Truth in Lending, Truth in Packaging, Truth in Labeling, and similar issues to give regular people something closer to equality with big business and their manipulation of the marketplace.
