What’s the white stuff in bird poop? That’s bird poop too! Kirt Vonnegut’s favorite joke in his later years….We have a lot of blue herons around here, the poop gallons of white stuff…..Last year, all for sides of my Festiva were hit….It seemed like a concerted effort on their part…Seriously, all four sides? That’s at least four runs at it….

Ah, capitalism at it’s best… find a need and fulfill it and if you can’t find a need to fulfill, create one.

I want to come back as a seagull…..Few enemies, free food, great hours, nice scenery, (Even French fries if you work it right…)….and you can hover for hours at a time…That’s gotta be pretty cool…………………….!

The scrub jays and crows were not so bad here, but now the parrots are around in their profusion; hose and scraper aren’t enough!

I was told in Italy that it is good luck for a pigeon to poop on your head…right after one did.

What’s REAL fun is when an owl has a snack over your car.A set of congealed, but not yet hardened, blood drops down the windshield. Ick.

@WoodEye & Jo Clear -I think you’ve got it wrong. Birds, and especially gulls, tend to favor blue. There was a research study done in the 70s or 80s where they painted large panels of different hues and laid them flat on the ground. Each day they’d count the droppings on each color and compile the data. After a while they determined that a medium blue was favored for “targeting” and as for a reason, they opined that the birds thought they were evacuating over water. It made sense to me. I drove a ‘70 Trans-Am Firebird at the time… pure white with a blue stripe down the center. Living in Groton CT at the time, there were plenty of gulls around; I’d find them sitting atop my beautiful car often when I’d return to where it was parked. There would frequently be white poop on the blue stripe… and none on the white hood, runk or top. Just the blue stripe. It was hard to dispute the research findings… ’cause I already knew.

Not what I was expecting. I was expecting him to come back to find a car on either side, with all of those other spaces still open.

Reminds me of the "Car Karma commercial one car sitting between two others ….untouched by the birds. The other two cars totally plastered with bird droppings!

I once had an obnoxious boss who no one liked. He had a prime parking space. One of my friends regularly “salted” his car with bread. Often, our boss would find an impressive amount of bird poop on his car. No matter where he changed his parking, he still got bombed. I don’t think he ever figured it out.

The problem with the execution of this gag is that soap suds are generally depicted the exact same way the artist depicts gull guano. So when you see the sign “Car Wash,” you wonder if the car in the previous panel is covered in soap suds. More differentiation between the texture of soap suds and gull guano is needed.

Better get that washed fast. Bird droppings are more corrosive than acid rain. Seriously. A single dropping will eat through the clear-coat on the paint, then the paint, then the metal underneath if you don’t wash it off ASAP. A little revenge from Mother Nature.
