Non Sequitur by Wiley Miller for October 20, 2013
Transcript:
Homer continues his past life review. Homer: I had to get the sheep across the river, but the bridge was gone. Then I found something... Duncan: Z. Bert: Oh, dear. It was left behind by the Roman army, and I figured it might solve the problem. Bert: Oh-h-h, no. You didn't... Homer: Yep! Bert: Ah, good. So you didn't catapult them. Homer: Oh, is that what that thing was? Duncan: See what I had to deal with down there?! Next week: A change of course.

Well, Mr. Miller… you got us all. We went for the obvious and you used the subtle. Kudos… Hats off to you and all of that.

How does Wiley make a bear look like a genius, and a sheep look out of it?……For the record, panel 4 is great enough to stand on it’s own, out of context, and still be funny as all get out…
Ida No about 11 years ago
Thing is, the bears had their own catapult…

wait… if that’s supposed to be God on the computer, wouldn’t he already know what happened?

I’d say that fits the definition of anti-climax.

Glad he didn’t know. In this case ignorance was bliss, for the sheep.

Swords into plowshares, catapults into rafts.

He may have to fling the two bucket sheep to get them off-loaded. The one in front looks to be thoroughly enjoying the cruise.

They’re not look-out. They called shotgun.

Wiley, THANK YOU for not catapulting those sheep! VERY cute solution. And good dog, still watching over the sheep.
StCleve72 about 11 years ago
Ah, another episode of Gestalt funnies! I see a raft, you see a catapult.

Maybe God is like River Tam……Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: But it ain’t all buttons and charts, little albatross. You know what the first rule of flying is? Well, I suppose you do, since you already know what I’m about to say.River Tam: I do. But I like to hear you say it.

Unlike that coyote.

Fooled me! I was sure it was going to be shades of WPKR Cincinnati and the famous non-flying turkeys.

And here I was all worried about the wool shrinking if he missed the other side with a few of them!

For a soul that’s been reincarnated so many times, Homer is terribly ignorant. And that’s as a soul with memories of his past lives.
Alan Steenhouwer about 11 years ago
Thank GOD he didn’t do anything quite so cliched as catapulting the sheep.

“What are those two on the lookout for”
You’ll notice that there’s not a heckuva lot of room on the “raft.” Homer had to put them somewhere.

Would this be a case of two wrongs making a right?

Is Duncan a Great Dane in this “life”?
