When the first British biologists sent back a stuffed platypus to the Royal Society, they were accused of stitching bits of other animals together. At the top of the platypus’ bill, there’s a flap of skin and underneath it are marks that look like poorly-done stitches.
I guess it’s all a matter of evolution… in nature creatures adapt when picked on and harrassed, and end up having something like a poisonous barb to fend off those bullies. Even in the domain of humans, kids who got bullied when they were younger adapted and morphed into something their aggressors fear and loath: they became things like techs on Facebook, divorce lawyers, IRS agents, and those guys that call you on the phone JUST when you take your first bite of dinner and want you to take a brief survey…
The earth is preparing for another cataclysm as we speak. Maybe 100 years, 10000 years, or 1 million; but nobody really knows! There have been several in the past, and more will occur in the future! Just who or what will exist after the next event is anybody’s guess…
Isn’t it great how there’s always some commenter who insists on educating us on the science of a cartoon that is based on interspecies breeding on Noah’s Ark? LOL!!!

Now that’s funny. As if the appearance of the platypus itself wasn’t funny enough.
