Years ago, when our family had a couple of cats, I opened the bathroom door and discovered the older one (Figaro) squatting on the toilet, doing his business. The urge must have come upon him while upstairs and, rather come down and clawed at the door, decided that was his best option. After that we always left the seat lid up.
