I loved living in Santa Barbara for 15 years because it was so cosmopolitan. I met people from many countries I never even heard of when growing up in the South.
That’s what I loved about New York. I don’t know if a constant diet of diversity wouldn’t be overwhelming, but it sure was entertaining for the few weeks I spent there. Whenever I hear people worried about “those people”, I think they don’t know what they are missing.
