I did biomedical lab research for a couple years; for the last 37 I’ve been a conduit between researchers and doctors (plus everybody else in Healthcare) as a medical librarian. As Dr. William Osler noted well over a century ago, “It is astonishing with how little reading a doctor can practice medicine, but it is not astonishing how badly he may do it.”
