I still don’t get it. Grandpa is asking Joe, “So, IS he?” We assume he’s asking if Tucker is a tucker (one who tucks), right? Tucks what? But Joe just jumps in there and says that Tucker wears his shirt out like everybody else. Huh?

Tucks his shirt in. Joe said no, he wears his shirt out (not tucked in) like everyone else. Meaning that no one tucks their shirts in, they all wear them untucked or “out.”
It is more the style these days to not tuck one’s shirt in, I like it better that way.
