I don’t get it! What’s “Tucker” in reference to?

Grandpa was asking if “Tucker” tucked his shirt in. Joe said he left it untucked.

Susan001 i wholeheartedly agree, people need to seriously think of what thy put those poor kids through with other kids taunting them..

it all started with frank zappa naming his kids moon unit and dweezil

I still don’t get it. Grandpa is asking Joe, “So, IS he?” We assume he’s asking if Tucker is a tucker (one who tucks), right? Tucks what? But Joe just jumps in there and says that Tucker wears his shirt out like everybody else. Huh?

I guess we have to admit that it isn’t easy being a cartoonist. Imagine having to come up with a new joke every day. One Big Happy is one of favorites because it really does come up with a cute joke nearly every day, unlike some of the other comics that are just plain silly, likeFred Bassett, or boring, like Dennis the Menace, or stupid, like Momma or Cathy. And when Rick has an off day, it just surprises us.

I left out a word. I meant to say, “one of my favorites.”

Thank God we have someone who can tell us all about One Big Happy since we’re too dumb to remember who Joe or Ruthie is.

I went to Catholic school with uniforms. Sister spent a lot of time saying, “Tuck your shirt in,” to every boy in the room. The girls had to wear a dress, so it was never said to them.

Tucks his shirt in. Joe said no, he wears his shirt out (not tucked in) like everyone else. Meaning that no one tucks their shirts in, they all wear them untucked or “out.”

It is more the style these days to not tuck one’s shirt in, I like it better that way.
