Cylene’s got maids, and a mother who would be horrified to see Cylene “doing chores.” Only the little people do chores.
In this case, the little people like Ruthie are Cylene’s lifeline to the real world. Some spoiled rich brats have no clue til they land in college, and some never get past the shock of that.
I’ve seen a 17-year-old who had no clue how to do a load of laundry, and it ain’t pretty.
