You forgot to add that Aztecs drunk chocolate as, which meant a very bitter drink, which explained why it was laced with other things. When the Europeans brought it home it was first drunk like that, but very quickly Europeans added sugar to it to transform it into the chocolate we all know now.

US Americans like their chocolate with milk which ruins any healthy effects. I like mine “dark” and semisweet.
