My dad use to take me with him to the neighborhood bar sometimes. I got to know the owners and their wives, I got to drink my bottle of Orange Crush, and play arcade bowling and sometimes eat a sandwich. It was a fun dad-daughter time I still remember 65 years later!!!!!!
How convenient to walk so far to need cab fare home that you wind up at Dolly’s bar! Wonder what destination might have been as convenient in the other direction? Maybe Dolly has a franchise?
