I don’t think there were a lot of really clean, sweet smelling pirates either. Now if they had a dog that was half lab and half Shar-Pei, he’d groom himself the way a cat does. Having had 2 so far, I speak from personal experience. At the national dog show televised on Thanksgiving, the commentators referred to a Shar-Pei as 1/3 cat for the way it grooms itself.
