I have to stop petting your dog.. My cats are going to go absolutely insane when I come in smelling like him! Well, good. Then one good thing was accomplished on the walk.
Cats and dogs are both great pets and sometimes they co-exist peacefully in the same home. I still have an image from 1979 of our cat Herschel walking into the room, unknowing that our dog Holly had just given birth and was nursing her litter in the closet. Holly’s growls woke him up to this fact, and Hersh got this whoops look on his face and moon-walked back out of the room. Still makes me laff all these decades later.
