Just watch those twist ties on the meatballs, guys – our Bogey just had major surgery to remove a toothpick that punctured his small intestine, after he got into some snacks that we made for company.
Not a good three weeks here in dogtown! Foster the Wonder Dog never left his side whilst he recovered :))
Toothpicks and wooden skewers are now banned from my house, but the Bogeymonster will be fine. My bank account, well, that is another story! But he is worth it!
Sort of like after the kids go to bed on Dec. 24th, some parents get up in the middle of the night and put up the Christmas tree with presents under it. In the morning the kids wonder how all that happened. The parents tell them Santa Claus did it.
My parents had less enthusiasm, the tree was up and even had some wrapped gifts under, mostly from one another. We didn’t have a fire place, but somehow Santa got in and left the “big” unwrapped gift. It was magical till I learned the truth.
This reminds me of my house. For several years, I have put out a backyard garden, and my son gets to plant his watermelon – This isn’t really watermelon growing country, so after about a month I get a small watermelon from the grocery store and put it in the garden, with a vine “inserted” into the end. My son is 16 now, and to this day he thinks he is the best watermelon farmer in Ohio. I’m doing it again this summer. (I hope he doesn’t read this!) I think I’ll have this activity announced to him at my funeral.
Great idea but, not being on a ship, around here the bears would pounce before the guys woke up or, worse, get in a fight with the pooches over the treats.

Someone should be watching Nate. He’s tying one meatball on and eating two.

This such a kind strip…..if only all people would be so kind. Always start our day out reading this to fortify us as we enter the real world.

What a wonderful gesture from the crew in this strip. They go out of their way to make life awesome for Louie and Raymond. Love it.
On a related note: Any chance I could find a meatball bush somewhere??
Good Sunday Morning, Crew.
