That’s actually not a bad idea. Charley can coax Louie to protect the plants from the rabbits.

Well, the rats would have smelled them, so maybe they’ve packed up and moved on!!!

Well it is certainly an eye-opening event for Louie!!!!

Reminds me of my garden. When my son was growing up, we always planted watermelon (his wish). Our climate is not great for watermelon, so not much ever grew – so – around the end of July I’d always go to the grocery and bring back a small watermelon and “attach” it to the end of one of the vines, then I’d wait for my son to come running to tell me about his melon he grew. To this day (he’s an adult) he thinks he’s a great gardener.

my granpup, part lab, eats peas off the plant. doesn’t wait for them to ripen. another good morning crew!

Well, money may never grow on trees, but as long as meatballs grow where Louie can get at ’em life is good.

If Louie were our Hildy and the meatballs were green bean, he’d have eaten the entire plant by now. She didn’t even wait for the plants to flower, much less produce beans.

What a sweet thing to do for Louie.
