My dad’s ex-wife seemed to believe that, which is why I found “clean” cups with lipstick still on them and “clean” dishes with bits of food stuck on them. I began post-washing things when I visited.

The bad phrase was “Some pre-washing”

as opposed to Louie’s “Always pre-washing”

Louie is going into Sadsville!

The layer of tongue slime my dog leaves can challenge the best of dishwashers!

Our bulldog would lick a plate so clean you’d think it came out of the dishwasher.

The dishwasher could never be as thorough as Louie!!!!!!

“Prewashing” dishes in a dishwasher is like taking a shower before you get in the bathtub.

Any modern dishwasher worth its salt is able to handle food residue.

Never start them on it and you’ll never have such problems.

You’ve bought a cold, heartless machine to do the work of an artist who truly loves his job? Shame on you, Henry.

Maybe rename Louie “Cold Water”, and if anyone complains about residue of any kind on the dishes, just explain that they’re as clean as Cold Water can get them.
