The Hairway to Steven?? Do you remember the words? I’ve never heard it. I liked “I’m looking over, my dead dog rover…” And Battle Hymn of the Night Wear. Got in lots of trouble for both of them.

I always wanted to get the proper lyrics for “To Anacreon in Heaven”, but that was long before the Internet and none of the local libraries had it.Some may know it better as the tune used for the musical version of Francis Scott Key’s poem “The Defense of Fort McHenry”, known as “The Star Spangled Banner”.

They shouldn’t be able to force first graders to sing songs they don’t like. That’s gotta be unconstitutional.

I’m wondering what took them so long to figure this out.
