Some say that robots will try to take over the world.

If robots take most of the jobs, then no one will have money. No money, no demand, no taxes. Neither of these, no society. Can’t replace most of the jobs, but we’ll see. Maybe the place is for the top % get all the mone… We are so screwed.

While not yet sentient, robots are the first to leave our world, and considering what we are doing to it and one another, none too soon.

..but can they replace comic strip readers ? I DON’T THINK SO ! The only robot I know of, with a sense of humor is Johnny 5.

Don’t even need a robot. Just tell the online provider to make scheduled repeat purchases of Twinkies. Nobody cares if you eat them, as long as you keep buying them.

At least they won’t be demanding $15/hr…

They are using Roboumps in some minor league games. I’ve been all for it, but I saw some You-Tube clips the other day which were atrociously off. So some fine tuning is definitely in order. We don’t need robotic Angels that’s for sure.

I’m less worried about what sentient robots would do than I am about the people who control them now.

He’s right about baseball – those digital strike zones are getting really good. Being able to generate humor? Not sure on that yet …
