I can see why the tree didn’t appear in the movie.

Because modern people have to memories of serious ‘want.’ The generation that grew up in the Depression appreciated all that they had and were fairly happy. Today’s generation needs some perspective on the past to appreciate all they do have.

I would like to ask The Tree That Knows Stuff why he still has leaves, and they’re still green?
