When I was younger and more… exploratory in this sort of way… I could sometimes catch bubble-maker bubbles. On my hand. And I could blow them so they were (slightly) different colors, depending on how thick their walls were, I think. I played with them so much that the carpet near my sofa got enough bubble-stuff that the bubbles could light there and last for several seconds. I also could herd them around the room until they popped. As could my friends. We even held bubble longevity contests…
Bottom line: There’s a LOT you can do with bubbles aside from pop them!
