No use getting upset over spilt frozen dairy, Charlie Brown.

My nephew used to do something similar when small. If he came in and you were eating something, he’d stare fixedly at you and ask repeatedly: “Is that good?”

Later, CB said, “Losing a ball game is like dropping an ice cream cone on the sidewalk. It just lies there, and there’s nothing you can do. It’s too late.”

Lucy was horrible to her brother and to those around her, she bullied her own parents who simply labeled her a “fussbudget,” and never seemed to encounter any consequences of her actions. It seems that she was never disciplined for anything at all. Small wonder that she has such a toxic personality.

You have a double scoop, remember? Never mind the perp – save the scoop that’s not on the ground!

I knew a guy who was so suggestible that if you mentioned a mishap that he might cause in a particular situation, there was a better than even chance it would happen. Once I saw his sister make him drop an ice cream cone by saying, in the most casual and offhand way, “You’re going to drop that.” A hypnotist would likely have been able to exert near total control, never mind the old saw that a hypnotized person would be stopped from certain actions by their own internalized ethics.

If that’d been me, I would have picked up the ice cream cone and rubbed it in her hair.
