When my husband & I lived & worked in a homeless organization, there was another woman named Charlotte who lived there as well. She always thought people were talking about her. One day my husband & I, and 2 other staff members had a conversation, and we purposely peppered it with comments like, “Did you watch the NASCAR race in Charlotte?” “I loved the book ’Charlotte’s Web’ as a child.” etc. It drove her nuts.

Getting so hard to believe that kids could ever just leave the house with a friend and you didn’t have to wonder or worry about them.
