who still uses those kinds of TV antennae these days? don’t most people use dishes?

Yeah but i guess snoopy wants to be old school.

Later, there was a strip about inner tubes that had the same dialogue.

Nowadays, of course, Snoopy has the latest flatscreen TV in his media room (formerly the billiards room)…

Charlie Brown’s newsboy hat is one of the details that put these early strips in a different era.

Actually, same is true today. Back then, a TV cost the equivalent of about $2,000 in today’s money. Now you pay a fraction of that. The’re practically disposable. And I believe I’ve seen movie screens smaller than some TVs for sale.

Cutting the cord and there are a TON of people with these sprouting up on their houses… out where I am, you HAVE to put it up high to get anything. When I lived in the ‘burbs’, a simple wall antenna on the TV got oodles of channels. ;-)

It would be a plus if the original date of publication was part of Peanuts Begins.

We use dishes now Charlie! Those days were back in the 1950’s….

Reminds me of the original “Back to the Future” movie when Marty’s Grandpa had just bought a TV in 1955.

this is a no-brainer… Snoopy would be watching LASSIE or RIN-TIN-TIN, of course!!!
