For many young folk, panels 1, 2, and 4 would be in code….

Don’t forget the reindeer. And the elves. And Buddy.

This has got to be a first…a letter to Santa that didn’t contain a “git” list.

Maybe this one won’t come back unopened like in the Peanuts strip that ran today.

Hurray! We need more cursive in the comics. Maybe THAT is the only way to convince the younger generations of its importance.

wow. Charlie Brown usually prints in all caps and has to have a “pencil pal” because he can’t use a pen properly. I guess he used to be able to write cursive just fine!

Fun fact: Mrs Claus didn’t exist until the 1850s, several hundred years into the “St. Nicholas”/Santa mythology

And please pet all your little parenthetical Clauses on their heads for me.

A for effort, CB (Zoe in Baby Blues could take a lesson), but it doesn’t seem to have worked out that well (cf. today’s Peanuts).

Where I used to live there was a portly man with a real white beard who did the best Santa Claus I’ve seen. His wife played Mrs. Santa alongside of him.

You never saw such a sweet-looking couple.
