The trees here have been losing leaves, but it is due to the high temperatures we’ve been experiencing. Fortunately, since Sunday, the daily temps have dropped a few degrees.

well Linus – IF I remember right Lucy did tell you that “they (the leaves) jump off the trees before the squirrels get them” now I might be mistaken because it was a while ago (like 50+ years) but I think it was about the time she told you the earth was getting smaller because of the erosion from people walking on the grass and dirt and not on the sidewalks.

Only if you see squirrels sitting at a table with number cards: 5.8, 5.8, 5.9… 5.6 from the Soviet squirrel…

Please stop using strips out of order! It’s not October 12. At this rate, Halloween strips will be running next week…to whom do we complain?

Reminds me of Victor Borge and Robert Merrill. Borge played the piano, while Merrill sang “Autumn Leaves.” During the performance, leaves were falling on stage.

Leaves are called leaves because they leave the trees in fall, which is called fall because the leaves fall. :-)
